Varpið is wheelchair accessible and friendly

Our goal at Varpið is to provide barrier-free access, making the building and the experiences we offer accessible to all. 

Next to the concert hall, in the old Post Office, is a ramp and sliding door that leads directly to the main level. Here is the City Council Hall
and the conference facilities and meeting rooms. You will also find a disabled toilet here and a lift that makes it easy for people with mobility problems or the disabled, to access different floors in the building.

In the main concert hall and up on the balcony seats, it is possible to remove chairs, so that people in wheelchairs can sit comfortably in their own chairs, if necessary.
